IN
SEARCH OF BEAUTY PHOTOGRAPHY is located in Bishop, CA.
For the past five years the Eastern Sierra has been
my home and the surrounding landscape the central focus
of my life as a photographer. The photography shown
here relects my relationship with the land. Bishop is
surrounded by one of the most beautiful photographic
settings in the world. The grandness of the vistas and
visual landmarks are legendary; Death Valley, Mono Lake,
the Alabama Hills, Mt. Whitney, a variety of ghost towns,
the Bristlecone Pine Forest, and Tioga Pass which serves
as the gateway to the Eastern Sierra and Yosemite Park.
Photography
became part of my life 40 years ago when I hung out
with students who had studied under master photographer
Minor White. I learned that photography could reveal
a great deal about life. The passion for photography
has remained all these years. Those moments of visual
revelation are magic, beyond verbalizing, and in the
end addicting.
Five
years ago I left my photography business to pursue a
dream. The dream brought me to the Eastern Sierra where
I settled in Bishop. I felt the Bishop area provided
the perfect environment for teaching others what I had
learned about photography over the past thirty-two years.
It was also the perfect place to explore my own photographic
vision. I had the feeling that my search for beauty
would be revealed in this place. I have not been disappointed.
In addition to my photography (which is shown and offered
for sale in the My Gallery section of the website) I
provide a variety of photographic services, including
E-6 processing, B&W developing and printing, tours
for groups and individuals, and classes and workshops
offered through Cerro
Coso Community College.
Please take some time to explore my web site. Perhaps
we can share the wonderful experience of discovering
the beauty revealed in this place. |
